About
the MMHA
The Medina
Metropolitan Housing Authority (MMHA) was established in 1953 as an
independent political subdivision of the state of Ohio. MMHA
provides affordable, quality housing for eligible residents
throughout Medina County.
Headquartered
in Medina, our offices are centrally located among our properties so
we can provide fast, convenient, responsive service. In addition to
providing housing, we provide support services to clients as they
work towards greater self-sufficiency.
The MMHA
Mission
Our primary
mission is to create, develop and manage properties and programs
that provide affordable housing for Medina County residents who have
low to moderate incomes.
We work hard
to make home ownership a reality for the people we serve. We provide
financial and educational assistance to individuals and families, as
well as the elderly and residents with special needs. MMHA works
with several local agencies including the Alcohol, Drug and Mental
Health (ADAMH) Board, Medina County Job and Family Sevices and
Community Action.
How
We're Funded
Rental
income, fees and federal housing subsidies are the primary sources
of funding for the MMHA. Our agency uses no city, county or state
tax dollars to operate.
