Susan Petrone, former editor at the Levin College, handles public relations for the Cleveland-based Society for Baseball Research (SABRE). Congratulations to SABRE for righting a wrong and recognizing the major contribution that Fenn College alumna Dorothy Jane MIlls (formerly Dorothy Zander) made to baseball history. As a Fenn College student Ms. Mills was the research assistant to Dr. Harold Seymour on what was his doctoral dissertation--the first history of baseball. Oxford University Press published this book and two latter books. Ms. Mills married Dr. Seymour and was the unrecognized co-author of the series. SABRE entered both Dr. Seymour and Ms. Mills into its Hall of Fame; righting an offense to scholarship and to history. Go to https://www.nytimes.com to read the entire article.
