FYI

Susan Petrone, former editor at the Levin College, handles public relations for the Cleveland-based Society for Baseball Research (SABRE).  Congratulations to SABRE for righting a wrong and recognizing the major contribution that Fenn College alumna Dorothy Jane MIlls (formerly Dorothy Zander) made to baseball history.  As a Fenn College student Ms. Mills was the research assistant to Dr. Harold Seymour on what was his doctoral dissertation--the first history of baseball.  Oxford University Press published this book and two latter books.  Ms. Mills married Dr. Seymour and was the unrecognized co-author of the series.  SABRE entered both Dr. Seymour and Ms. Mills into its Hall of Fame; righting an offense to scholarship and to history. According to a study by Cleveland State's Center for Economic Development, business startups in Ohio have declined in the past decade. The Dayton Daily News has more on the topic, go to: https://www.daytondailynews.com to read the article.

In the article "Ohio among dozen biggest loser in jobs states, report on DOL figures show" in the on line publication titled examiner.com. To read the article go to:https://www.examiner.com.
