The Campus District Master Plan is a product of the Capstone Project undertaken in the spring
ABOUT
Studio 611 is a collection of bright, young students near completion of the Masters of Urban Planning, Development, and Design at Cleveland State University. The Campus District Plan project was assigned as a requirement for the UST 611 course of the program- a partnership between the university and Campus District, Inc. that sought to understand the strengths, challenges, and needs of stakeholders within the area to inform a set of recommendations for further planning efforts.
The course culminated in a final plan, which you can download on this site– as well as a presentation, which was given May 6, 2013 (you can see the presentation here) at the Levin College. The project itself, however, consisted of a rigorous 15 weeks of research, conceptualization, administration of surveys to students on campus, interviewing almost 50 stakeholders throughout the Campus District and Cleveland community, the organization of a formal presentation, and the writing, editing, coordination, and design of the final deliverable.
Needless to say, we are all incredibly proud of this accomplishment- and hope that as you find it equally impressive and valuable as you explore this site and the information provided in its pages. As a friendly reminder, many of these graduates are looking for employment– visit the project authors page to find information on your company or organization’s next rock-star!
Warm thanks from all of Studio 611 for stopping by. Have a great day!
